The month, mapped

Your first 30 days on eBay, day by day

A first month feels formless from inside — list some things, wait, wonder. From outside it has a shape: a week of listing, a week of first deliveries, a payout, a refill. Here is the shape, with the dates the decoder computes for your items filled in as the pattern.

DaysWhat happensYour job
1–2Account open; limits set at 10 items / $500Photograph your First-10 at once; list the top five from the planner, all tracked shipping
3–7First sales arrive; holds begin (this is normal)Ship same or next day; watch the delivery scans, not the balance
7–10First delivery confirmations; first release about 2 days laterNote your real branch times — they are your planning numbers now
10–14First payout clears to your bank (sale + about a week)List the next planner items into freed value; keep two slots in reserve
15–21The rhythm month: sales, ships, releases overlapKeep cases at zero; answer messages same day; describe flaws before buyers find them
22–30Record complete: tracked, on-time, case-freeRequest a limit review or let the monthly review find you; plan month two's bigger items

What “the month worked” looks like on day 30

Three to five tracked sales, every payout received or dated, zero open cases, and a limit higher than the one you started with. The dollars are the smallest part of that sentence — the record is the asset. Month two spends it.

The day-by-day version of your first month

The First 30 Days Kit turns one decode into the whole month: the day-by-day calendar (limits, holds, when cash actually arrives), the First-10 listing worksheets, the hold-avoidance checklist, the limit-raise playbook for days 30/60/90, and the fee-proof pricing sheet for the common categories.

Calendar questions

What if nothing sells in week one?

Normal. Check the unglamorous three: are the photos honest and bright, is the price inside what sold listings actually fetched, and is shipping tracked and priced sanely? Then wait — a first month is a proof exercise, and proof includes a little patience.

When can I list the expensive item?

Month two, once the first payouts have landed and the record exists — and even then, price it knowing its branch: over $1,000 means up to about 30 days to payment, on purpose, with eyes open. The decoder shows the date before you commit the slot.
